​The Department of Housing and Community Development regularly recruits Contract Management Officers, Loan Underwriters, and Project Managers in several divisions, including Community Development Administration Multifamily Programs and Contract Administration, as well as the Division of Neighborhood Revitalization. Contract Managers are responsible for managing contracts throughout the State of Maryland. Project Managers oversee grant programs.

Loan Underwriters are responsible for evaluating risk involved with development projects for multifamily and single family housing and commercial projects. All of these positions ensure compliance with federal, state and local policies and guidelines. Compliance experience, and experience with government housing and/or community development programs are preferred qualifications for these jobs.​
